On the brighter side

I was never a fan of pleated skirts but when I saw this cute bright yellow one, I knew I had to have! I love how the texture of the fabric is light and soft. I decided to accessorize the look with a scarf and  a brown skinny belt, making the look more fun. These brown flats are so comfy and one of my favorite to wear.

Puerto Rican Festival in San Diego

I am a Puerto Rican gal living in the good ole California. When I first moved here I thought I wasn't going to meet that many Puerto Ricans, but we actually have a few. I heard from my brother today that it was the "Day of San Juan Salsa and Bachata Festival" where a tribute would be held for Tito Puente featuring his son Tito Puente Jr. Tito Puente was a famous latin jazz, salsa musician, and composer from Puerto Rican parents. He is known as the "Latin King of Salsa Music," so it was a pleasure to get to see his son play. It felt good to see other fellow Puerto Ricans mingle and have fun. Listening to the beautiful sound of salsa brought so many memories from my time in Puerto Rico. Here is the outfit I wore to the festival (btw, I should've brought sandals. I learned my lesson.)

Proudly Served

The 4th of July is approaching and I know everyone is gathering ideas on what to do on that special holiday. It's typical to see a couple of people wear something with the U.S.A. flag or colors. What outfit would you put together to represent such a historical holiday? Well, I decided to share with you all on how I would display the beautiful colors of the USA with a touch of my personal style. Tell me what you think! :)

Vacation Destination

Finally! We've decided where our vacation/honeymoon will be. Here we come San Francisco and Las Vegas! Our original plan was to visit the beautiful land of Italy, but sometimes things don't turn out the way we want them too, such is life! but hey, there is always next year right?

Las Vegas Welcome Sign
After a couple of weeks of researching, we decided to go with San Francisco and Las Vegas. We finally purchased our tickets last night and are so excited for this much needed vaction. I've always wanted to visit San Francisco, but never had the opportunity to go. I've been to Las Vegas before but this time we would like to visit some of the shows Vegas has to offer. Can't wait to share our trip with everyone!

Sweet Napolitan

Dress: Ruche, Crocheted Vest: Love Culture, Flats: TJMaxx, Ring: H&M, Necklace: H&M

It's amazing how one piece of wardrobe can make a whole outfit work. I've had this dress for a while, but never had the chance to wear it. I bought these flats from my last shopping trip at TJMaxx and thought they would go perfect with the dress. The feel of this look is a hint of boho/vintage. This crocheted vest is perfect for the Summer!

Have a good one!

I heart Blue

Dress: TJMaxx, Clutch: TJMaxx, Wedges: Lulu's

I feel like I haven't done a post in like a week! It was a pretty busy week for me, but glad the weekends here. I went to TJMaxx last week and saw a couple of things that caught my eye. I saw this dress and loved the cut on the back. It's so sexy and perfect for summer. The pop of yellow goes perfect with the dress. I'm so ready for the summer and inspired with so many ideas for future looks.

The Hubby and I spent a few days trying to figure out where we would like to go for our summer vacation. Finally! we decided two places. Stay tuned to find out where our summer destination will be ;) I will be posting pictures! Follow me on Instagram - Daintyjea

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

The Tuscan Sun: LookBook

One of my typical routines on Monday's is to search my favorite online clothing stores and see what new pieces they have in store. I was looking at my timeline on Facebook and came across a post from Ruche on their Tuscan Summer Look Book and I absolutely adore it! I have to say, Ruche knows how to advertise their products. Their attention to detail and customer satisfaction is impeccable. I have purchased quite a few products from their store, and I can tell you the quality is perfect! Here is my favorite look. I want these pieces!

Stripe Top: H&M

Cardigan: Ruche

Pleated Skirt: F21, Pencil Skirt: H&M, Jeans: Khol's

I wanted to share some of my wardrobe basics with you all. These pieces are versatile and can come together very nicely. Here are a couple examples, I would wear my stripe top, with the dark flare jeans, fuschia pumps, and the leopard skinny belt (remember, the leopard belt can work as a neutral).  I would also put together the stripe top, the pleated skirt, and flats.  I decided to include my boots because I wear them with skinny jeans. Believe it or not, there are still some cold nights in San Diego, so these are a must have! especially, movie dates ;)

Hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think and share some of your basics.

Lace Maxi Dress

My husband bought me this beautiful purse from Coach on our one year wedding anniversary. He picked it out on his own and did a very good job! He knows my style so well :) I've had this Lace Maxi Dress for awhile, but just never had an opportunity to wear it. Just put these to pieces together an voilá! perfect combo.

Arm Party!

A day at the Fair

Here we are! Hubby and I decided to go to the first day opening of the San Diego Fair. Each year we decide to go at least one day and enjoy all the festivities. It's good to take some time off from our busy schedules and just enjoy each others company. I still can't believe it's June and it was still chilly outside. Good times!
