I am a Puerto Rican gal living in the good ole California. When I first moved here I thought I wasn't going to meet that many Puerto Ricans, but we actually have a few. I heard from my brother today that it was the "Day of San Juan Salsa and Bachata Festival" where a tribute would be held for Tito Puente featuring his son Tito Puente Jr. Tito Puente was a famous latin jazz, salsa musician, and composer from Puerto Rican parents. He is known as the "Latin King of Salsa Music," so it was a pleasure to get to see his son play. It felt good to see other fellow Puerto Ricans mingle and have fun. Listening to the beautiful sound of salsa brought so many memories from my time in Puerto Rico. Here is the outfit I wore to the festival (btw, I should've brought sandals. I learned my lesson.)
Dress: F21, Shoes: UO, Bracelets: F21, Green Ring: Ruche
Proud to be Puerto Rican
Cute baby wearing a shirt with the Puerto Rican Flag
Tito Puente Jr. - He looks just like his father
At the festival having a white zinfandel - Hubby is the photographer

This was so good! It's called "Jibarito Sandwich" it was plantain, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, garlic, and beef.
