Operation Closet Ready

A week ago, I started "Operation Closet Ready" and had no Idea how long this would take. I was looking for specific shelves that would hold shoes, purses, jeans, and tank tops. My husband started googling some locations and he found The Container Store. Luckily, we had one near by and we decided to check it out. There was so much stuff in that store that I felt like I was in container heaven! After browsing through the store, I found exactly what I was looking for and was ready to start this project.  I had so many clothes that I no longer need, so I think it was time to start giving away.
Here's the rule: If you've had your clothes for more than a year, I think it's time to let go. You might say to yourself, "but I know I can use this for something else." Trust me, I've been saying that for more than two years, and I still didn't use some of the stuff. I know it's hard to let go, but it will be OK..lol. Just look at it this way, you will have more space for new pieces! :)
After three bags of clothes and one bag of shoes, I am satisfied with the outcome and just love how organized my closet looks. It's so me! I don't have to go crazy looking for a specific pair of shoes or purse. There are little things that I still need to work on, but It's all a working progress.

Holy Molly what a mess! Excuse the chaos.

How to keep your boots standing up straight.

You could use whatever you want to keep your boots standing up straight. Some people use wine bottles, regular bottles, etc. I decided to use the cover of a shoe box. All you have to do is cut the ends of the cover, which are firm and they allow your boots to stand up straight.

and voilá! Your boots stay in place.

The pink rug feels so comfy under my toes ^_^.

The shoe boxes on the top shelf have flat sandals that I wanted to put away, since winter is coming up. I don't have to have them in display.

The top shelf has all my jeans, colored skinny's, print skinny's. To the far right I have shorts, tank tops folded, and rolled.
The bottom shelf has my clutches on the left and the purses on the right.

So much better! I can see my shoes!

I bought this flower vase from Wal-Mart and decided to use it as a bangle/bracelet holder.

My necklaces are displayed and easy to access. Now, I don't have to worry about them getting tangled. Don't you hate that? I have magazines just in case I need to be inspired before I start looking for an outfit ;) The vase with the bangles and bracelets and the white Brocade Open Bin holds all my rings. To the right is a frame I bought from TJMaxx; I might put a picture or an inspirational quote.

I hung some of my scarfs on the hanger pole and behind that is a shoe box filled with more scarfs. I didn't want to display them all because then I wouldn't have room.

So much better!

On the door I have all my belts, headbands, and hats hanging.
I am glad that I could share with you all my closet space and hope I've given you ideas to make your space as comfy as possible. If you have any other ideas on how to better your closet space, please share!

Have a good one!
