Committed Blazer

Finding the "it" blazer can be quite challenging for me. I own quite a few pairs but I've yet to find the ONE that sparks my interest. It's like finding the right partner in life; you are not going to settle for less until you find the ONE. I can proudly say I've committed myself to this blazer whole hardheartedly. I mean, just look at its shape and colors. It's so appealing and fresh. I am in love.

What stood out the most of this blazer were the colors and the print. Therefore, to let it be the center of attention, I faced out all of the other pieces by wearing dark neutral colors. This blazer and I were meant to be.

Spring Skirt

Spring Skirt
Skirts are one of my signature looks I feel most comfortable in.  You will often see me wear skirts and dresses more than pants. I just love the classic and feminine touch a skirt brings to a look. Whether it's floral, a solid color, or polka dot skirt, each has a unique style that can bring an outfit alive by pairing it with versatile pieces that fit your style. Now that spring is here, I can start stocking up on cute skirts! These are just some of my favorite picks of many. Which one is your favorite?

Who would've ever thought I would be wearing the color mint. I even shock myself. I'm going to keep it real with you, I see this color, and I think of mint chocolate ice cream, which mint plus chocolate is no bueno in my books. However, I did mention I would be willing to explore new trends, so that I did my friends. I do find that this color compliments my skin very well. So, in the spirit of playing with spring colors, I paired these skinnies with my new graphic sweater from Old Navy. I think the word "love" is sending me a subliminal message. Embrace the mint! and by that, I mean the color not the ice cream.

Pencil Skirt

Ok ladies, I am hoping some of you have at least one pencil skirt in your closet. Am I right? If you don't, then I suggest you go buy one because pencil skirts will help you create so many looks. When choosing the right skirt, make sure to select a color of your preference and whether you want a solid color, stripe, or printed. From the office to date night, this skirt is a well rounded choice and adds a special touch to your wardrobe, not to mention it shows off those curves you've been hiding.

Good day my friends! I'm hoping everyone had a great weekend. Mine was full of events but glad I survived it. Lately, I've been leaning toward casual looks and comfort. Pinterest has been an influence on my desire of change. I say my style continues to evolve, yet at the same time I make sure my personality still shines through. I am always open to try new trends and see how they work on me. That's one thing I love about fashion, there is always something new to try but you can always continue to be you.

Music Time

Festival Look

Top: Urban Outfitters, Shorts: Forever21, Boots: Charlotte Russe, Purse: Target, Pink Bracelet: Betsey Johnson, Arrow Bracelet: Stella Dot, Orange Bracelet: Zappos, Aviators: Lauren Conrad

While putting this festival look together, I envisioned myself dancing the night away at Coachella or even Stage Coach. Hey, a girl can dream. I don't know about you, but I would like to attend at least one music festival this summer or at least a concert for that matter. My festival look is all about comfort with a delicate touch. The trim of lace on the shorts, floral top, and fringe satchel makes the look girly, yet boho'ish.

Better Dig Two

The day someone tells me to stop wearing floral's will probably be when I am 6 feet under. Just like the Band Perry song, "So you better tell the gravedigger that he better dig two." I dare not give up on this trend. Floral's bring out the best of me. They remind me of beautiful things like spring. The colors are so vibrant and full of life just like my personality.

Now remember, to make the floral cardigan a statement,  pairing it with soft pastels colors and coral accessories will balance the look as you can see.  Be careful not to make the look feel "crowded" by adding a vibrant colored top.  If you do, it will make your statement piece just a piece and we don't want that.  You took the time to search for that perfect cardigan, so you better make the best of it when showing it!

Coral me up

The weekend weather called for lace and wedges my friends. The color coral has been one of my favorite colors to wear. What better color to add some spunk into your wardrobe. I first saw this purse at Aldo's and the style just drew me into the store. The size and intricate details made me fall in love even more. Can't wait to style other looks with this purse!

Subtle Flowers

My love for floral prints is unencumbered and will never be fully satisfied.  I love the subtle flowers on this dress and the touch of lavender. It's such a cute girly dress to wear for any occasion. The style has a vintage feel to it, which I adore. If only I could rock a vintage look a little more, which reminds me I need to visit a goodwill store. Who knows what treasures I would find. However, my wallet is telling me otherwise, "work with what you have." I sometimes wish I was alive in that era and by era, I mean the 50's and 60's (Imagining myself as Allie from The Notebook). The feminine and sophisticated look back then is so appealing to me. I love!

For this travel, I was well prepared when packing my clothes. I made sure I packed only two pair of jeans, two colored skinny jeans, two pair of boots, and a pair of booties. I kept it simple with tops, added a cardigan and scarf to perk up my look, especially when pairing a floral print scarf with these rock star skinny jeans. The size, style, and price of these jeans are just perfect. What I love about these pieces is how I can remix the looks. Tennessee was mostly cold so staying warm, comfy, and cozy was just right. First time I travel and I have no problem coming up with outfits. Mission accomplished!
