Convinced

I'm the type of girl that when I see something I like, I gotta have it. I always get that feeling with my "go-to" and favorite online store Ruche. The vintage modern pieces they carry are exactly my style: affordable and whimsical. I saw this navy and ivory striped top and immediately threw it in my shopping cart without even second guessing it. I mean, who wouldn't?! The netted paneling on the front and sleeves gives it the perfect touch. I chose to wear a denim wash chambray shirt for an extra layer of warmth and paired it with dark blue denim for contrast. Adding booties to the ensemble give it the right finishing touch.

Black & White

Besides the fact that black and white outfits are perfect for the workplace, I have a love/hate relationship with them. I love it because it's chic and effortless; however, I find it to be quite boring. There is nothing wrong with a black or white outfit, but I recommend making it stand out by adding a touch of color! Now that can make a big difference! One example is having fashionably plum lips like how I have it in the pictures.

Sweater Weather

I have a dilemma people. I find myself stocking my closet with more cardigans than sweaters. You know what that means! Ahem, Santa hook it up! Sweaters, regardless if it's printed, sparkly, or solids, you can pair it with pretty much anything. You could dress your sweater up or down by pairing it with a statement necklace or a scarf of your choice. At the end of the day, wear your sweater that best fits your style. I found a couple of options that are super cute and affordable! How would you style your favorite sweater?

Gifts for Her

Holiday Gift Guide

Ruche

I try to pay attention at what people like when it comes to gift giving. Since there are so many attributes to FUN nowadays, gift-giving is so much easier. For your fashionable group of friends, a scarf or cardigan would probably do the trick. :) For the beauty obsessed, you can't go wrong with Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette! For the tech-savy, transform the iPhone by covering it with a quirky case! For those who love to cook, cute accented measuring cups would do great in the kitchen. Last but not least, jewelry! Try to give personalized jewelry because it can make a dainty necklace so meaningful. One of my favorites is a state pendant.

What I would Wear

It's the hubby's 30th birthday and I thought a weekend getaway would be a perfect gift! It's a surprise so he's going bananas trying to get it out of me! In due time...in due time...Below is a look I would totally wear for the occasion. I would go with the something that'd keep me warm. I always recommend stalking/tights to do just that when a dress fits the occasion during cold weather season. This way, I can look feminine while staying warm! Follow me on Instagram for more pics of our weekend getaway! Can't wait to share! :)

Bejeweled

In yesterday's post, I emphasized on the versatility accessories can bring to an outfit. In the spirit of accessories, I'd like to focus on this beautiful statement necklace from Baublebar. A jeweled necklace such as this can take a simple look and bring it up a notch! With temperatures constantly fluctuating, I added a layer to an already warm sweater. All-n-all, this outfit not only flows well but also has chic written all over it.

On replay

I am a firm believer that you can wear whatever you want, and various clothes aren't seasonal-dependent. In the midst of Holiday season, my shopping budget is very limited so replays of older clothes are resurfacing...I love this part!! A cheaper way to save money and still look fashionably current is emphasizing on accessories! Whether it be jewelry, watches, scarves or headpieces. I actually purchased this cute floral headpiece from Forever21 last weekend and I love how it brings versatility to any outfit. You probably will be seeing this piece again ;)

Grey

I said it once and I'll say it again, Cardigans are a girl's best friend. The best part is when you find the one in the color you want. I took mom for a little shopping on black Friday (madness I tell ya), and I happened to grab this little number for just $19.99!! Um, yeah, that's mine! How could I pass this up? Now that the cold front is hitting us, this cardigan was definitely the best call.
