Anthrofave

Currently Coveting

Jacket | Dress

My obsession with bohemian style is slowly returning now that spring is approaching. With that being said, I couldn't help but browse through the beautiful pieces Anthropologie carries. I mean, how cute are these pieces?! The whimsical and colorful staples are exactly my style. Both of these pieces have a comfy casual feel to them and the versatily is a plus! Although it can be a little pricey, their quality is worth every penny. My advice, invest at least in one piece that will allow many different looks.

Superbowl Outfit Inspiration

Superbowl Outfit Ideas

Super Bowl is almost here! When putting an outfit together, I focus on two things: wearing my team colors and being as comfortable as possible. Although the Patriots did not make it to the Super Bowl this year (I still can't get over that last game...smh), I still wanted to put together a look incorporating my team colors. At the end of the day, the key is to be comfortable and stylish while representing your team.

In that note, who will you be rooting for?!

Revamp your work wardrobe

I don't know about you, but my work attire sure needs a revamp of some sort. Whether it be new accessories, more print, or feminine pieces,  I think it's time for improvement. At the end of the day, you know what style best suits you and what's consider appropriate for the workplace. Instead of your typical "go-to" look, I suggest experimenting by adding some color; whether it be through an accessory, top or bottom.  Instead of the typical button down chambray top, try a feminine style chambray top like the one below. Wear bold prints and colors to make a statement while toning it down by selecting a no print/pattern piece to go with it. Finally, a cute pair of pointy shoes for some sophistication.

Investing in a whole work wardrobe is not necessary, the key is to focus on pieces that will make your look stand out while still looking appropriate.

Capture

In this post, I wanted to capture versatility. By doing so, I took an outdated skirt and paired it with a more modern knitted sweater. The combination was a success! I was able to transform this older skirt to a more fun and aw-inspiring outfit! The patterns worked perfectly...but don't worry too much on matching pattern (you'll know when it works-just don't overdo it). With this combination, it was obvious to add tights and booties to make it that much cuter while staying warm.

Overcome

I didn't have to invest too much cold weather garments this winter season. Fortunately, cozy long sweaters were just perfect (thank you Cali weather!). I wanted to go with different print and color sweaters like the one I came across at a local boutique store called Mimi and Red. Its relax fit and adorable horse print did just the trick. I am swooned! Adding a couple of accessories to the ensemble made the right statement.

It feels good to be back! I ended 2013 and welcomed 2014 by spending quality time with loved ones. Did you miss me? I needed the short break to enjoy life precious moments. Last year was a tough one for me but I pray this new year will bring many more blessings. I can't wait to dedicate more time on my blog and continue to inspire! Thanks for sticking with me! Cheers!
