Well Worth It

At last, the leopard clutch that's been in my shopping cart for months makes its debut to the blog.  When ShopBop had their 25% sale going on, I didn't hesitate  to give the husband a major hint on what I wanted for our fourth year wedding anniversary, which by the way is next week! Typically, I don't splurge on items that cost more than $100, but I couldn't resist this animal print clutch. I know it will definitely be a well worth investment.

A Long Time Coming

In honor of Infertility Awareness Week, I'd like to bring up something a little personal and very close to my heart. Where do I begin…I've written this post many times. I've started typing the words but haven't had the courage to hit "publish." I've saved it, deleted it, typed it again, deleted again while thinking to myself, "people didn't come here to read a sad post." But you see, I am wrong. I know I don't stand alone in this struggle. Some of you who are reading this may be going through a similar situation. It's a hard subject to even bring up, but yes, I struggle with infertility.

11 years ago, it took a Lieutenant in the Army to pronounce the words, "I think you have Endometriosis," and boy was she right. From that day forward, my life has changed.

There are moments of sadness, frustration, depression, and impatience but one day all those feelings will vanish when we scream of joy when that pregnancy test comes back positive. One day I will be able to celebrate Mother's Day. One day I will brush my daughters hair or help my son ride a bike for the first time. But what I mostly desire is to teach my children the importance of humility, being loved, and to always strive to be better each and everyday.

I long to experience that type of love. My husband and I haven't lost hope. My faith in God is what keeps me going strong, and I know he will bless us with a bundle of joy. Until then, I'll continue to pray.

Master Bedroom

I'm currently debating on what type of design/mood I want going for our master bedroom. Our furniture is off-white and mirrored, but when it comes to details, I'm gravitating towards soft colors and textures. I'm favoring girly colors such as pale pink, tan, gold, soft blues, and grays but would like to incorporate some masculine elements to keep it balanced.

Here are a couple inspirational photos to get me motivated.

Incorporating blue and gray accent pieces.

Adding different textured/printed pillows in gray…Love!

Boho Chic

The boho trend is back for Spring! From bell/kimono sleeves, hats, fringe...this trend will continue to make it's round in the fashion world. Although my preference when styling this trend has been more on the casual side, my goal is to try and kick it up a notch by showing the dressier side.

At Last

Believe it or not I've had this beautiful floral blazer for a year now, never worn until now! What was I thinking? I will try to be better about complaining that I don't have anything to wear. So for it's first debut, it's only fair that I pair it with my current obsession: my little denim dress worn here. To keep things more toned, I could've made the blazer my main focus while keeping the rest of the look simple and neutral...but what fun would that be? Keep it interesting and different my friends.

In your face

I'm falling for pixie pants…like for real. Hands down, Old Navy has the best quality and fit for me. They have really cute patterns from flowers to polka-dots, you name it, they got it. I'm also excited about their wide assortment of colors that will play a big role for the upcoming seasons. When you have pair of pants that can be worn at the office or even a night out on the town, you know you have yourself a winner. Pair it with heels, sneaks, or flats and you are good to go my friend! It works! To add a little spring to my look, I decided to pair it with a bold in-your-face hot pink color top. How fun!

How to Brighten your Home

I don't know if the spring season is rubbing off on me or the fact that next month will be six months we've been living in our home, and I'm craving a change! Luckily, I can work with what I have. So in the spirit of changing things just a tad bit, I thought I'd share some pointers on how to brighten your home taking a less expensive route. Flowers, who doesn't love them, right? Add a pop of color to your vase with your favorite blooms (real or fake, it works!). If you're a do-it-yourself (DIY) kind of person, create pillow cases with fun patterns or cool colors that compliment your area without overpowering the whole vibe (Bed, Bath, and Beyond sales accent pillow cases - I had no idea!). Last but not least, throw-blankets bring luxury style to a bed or sofa. Not to mention, it keeps you warm when watching your favorite Netflix show. Happy styling!

Lately, I'm having an obsession with fitted blazers (another one coming this week). I don't know why since I haven't really worn many, but that's the beauty of being a style blogger...getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things. I love how a simple jacket can make a statement to any look whether it's dressed up or down, the options are endless! So to the designer who created this outer piece...Merci!

Hola Friday

Bienvenidos Friday! The weekend is upon us which means graphic tees, distressed denim, and slip-ons. So toss those heels to the side and welcome your weekend with some ultimate comfort! Depending on what my weekend entails, I can always bring this look up a notch by swapping my sneaks to heels. If I want, I can opt for a leather jacket (or jean jacket) instead of a vest for a more edgy/sexy look. Overall, dressy or casual, I'll make sure to welcome the weekend with a bang! Besos.

Coffee Stations

A glass of wine after a hard days work…yes please!! However, today a hot cup of coffee on a sunny day just has a better ring to it. Although my love for wine has not ceased, my obsession over coffee surpasses it. The coffee pot, the adorable inspirational coffee cups, the options…I love it! So obviously, a coffee bar is a MUST! Although mine is still a working progress, imagine having a spot to enjoy your hot cup of coffee without having to wait in line and bumping into people. So of course, I couldn't help but be inspired over these lovely coffee stations. I mean, the simplicity, yet so elegant.

Pixie Pants

I wasn't kidding when I said I needed more pixie pants in my life. Lo and behold, I snatched these cuties from TJMaxx without hesitation. Not only was the price on point, but the style had Easter Sunday written all over it. Typically, my go-to style for Easter is the pastel/soft colored dress but this time around, I opted for a road less traveled by. I love the capri slim fit and how I can pair them with heels or flats. I believe this look can also be pulled off at the office...which is always a plus for me.  Either or, this bottom piece is the perfect addition to my ever growing closet.
