My Miracle

It's a typical Thursday night. I came home from a dinner and movie night with my husband and out of nowhere, I tell him "eh, what the heck...I'm heading to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test since I'm six days late." He says, "it may come back negative" as we are used to having negative test results. I told him I know, but hey, it doesn't hurt to check. I took the first test..and I had to do a double-take. One solid pink line and one blurry pink line. I've never had a solid or blurry second line…..ever! That's when it hit me. I jumped out of the bathroom holding the pregnancy stick away from me like if it was a ticking time bomb. I'm screaming, "Babe, look!!!" but in a freaked out way. He looked at it and told himself, "nah…that's not right. Take the second one." Yep, there went the tears. I went ahead and took the second test. While waiting patiently (yeah right) for the results…I took a look at the instructions which stated if you see a faded second line…you are pregnant! Second stick had two lines. That's when all hell broke loose. I fell to my knees in front of my husband and started balling. I cried and said Lord, this is all you! THANK YOU!! Thank YOU!! for blessing us with this miracle! If this is real…thank YOU LORD! I wept like a little girl. My husband took me into his arms and we hugged. We didn't want to let go. We both couldn't stop saying OMG, it happened! We did it on our own! No IVF! I am a woman of faith who never lost hope. I knew God had this planned all along…but it was at his time. Not mine. "I prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him."-1 Timothy 1:27.

I know I've been MIA lately but honestly, I needed this time with family and friends. My first trimester was very difficult and required a lot of bed rest. I've been trying to be stress free and enjoy these precious moments. Now, I'm 19 weeks and feeling fabulous! I can't wait to start showing my maternity style if the San Diego weather cooperates. Thank you for sticking by me and can't wait to share more with you all!
