Mother's Day Gift Guide

Gifts for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is just around the corner and with much prayer and years of trying, I get to finally celebrate it this year! Now that I'm a mother myself, I fully understand the love and hard work that comes with the title so gifting her this year will be a little different than all the other years. This year I want to show her my appreciation for raising me and my brothers because I can honestly say I couldn't do this on my own. I'm sure mothers are grateful with whatever we have up our sleeve, however here are a few items I've found that can never disappoint AND are all less than $100!

I typically like to keep my outfits at a minimum of two prints but since I'm in a good mood, I said "eh, what the heck, let's make it three!" A side note: leopard can be considered a neutral so remember that the next time you worry about clashing patterns. That's what's fun about styling looks, it can be so much fun letting your personality show. Now, let's talk about this pineapple print. Immediately I thought of my visit last year to Charleston, South Carolina. I saw pineapples emblems everywhere and come to find out, pineapples is considered a symbol of hospitality and Charleston had just that. So cheers to pineapples and three prints! Ha!

Light Denim Jacket

Denim jackets are one of those wardrobe pieces that never get old. You've read it in magazines and blogs on how it can be worn all year long. The benefit is they come in different shapes and styles which gives you more options to play with. I've been in the hunt for a fitted denim jacket and wouldn't you know, I found it in a thrift store! I love how I paired it with a flowy top while still keeping my look balanced. Since it's a lighter denim jacket, I went with darker jeans for contrast. This is one piece I will have on repeat!

Stagecoach Dreaming

Dang girl, back at it again with the fringe?! What can I say, I'm hooked! Believe it or not, this dress and vest are thrift store finds. When I put this look together, all I could think about was Stagecoach and drinking a beer. Sadly, I will not be able to attend this year but I'd like to pretend I will be there by wearing this fun festive look. Not a fan of fringe? This dress can be paired with a denim vest or even some flats and still have that festival vibe. Now, all I'm missing is a red solo cup and some good ole country music. Cheers to musical festival season!

Kimono & Fringe

These two items never get old when it comes to Spring and Summer wardrobe; fringe and kimonos. Whether you are going for a casual or dressy look, both have that easy breezy vibe that screams effortless. Speaking of fringe, it's a perfect timepiece for music festivals because of the boho feel it exudes (it can never get old). Now that I rock kimono and fringe purses, I'm glad I found these comfortable fringe sandals that go perfect with the San Diego weather. Not to mention its perfect for mom-on-the-go! Comfy, yet stylish...win-win!

Postpartum Style

It feels good to be back at it again! I sure missed blogging but I am going to be quite honest, momma was tired all the time and wasn't feeling like playing dress up. Plus, I wanted to enjoy my pregnancy journey without any worries and stress. Now that my little nugget is a month old (wow, how time flies!) I feel the urge to start blogging again. I was a little hesitant to take photos of me in outfits because I still have some baby weight (the struggle is real!) to lose but you know what, who cares?! I carried a little human for 9 months so I am embracing my imperfections and taking it one day at time. Eventually, I will bounce back to where I feel comfortable and most importantly, healthy.

Make sure to follow me on Instagram. I will share bits and pieces of motherhood and of course, my adorable little nugget.
